Cybernetica offers a range of services in the field of process engineering. With an experienced and highly competent staff and a project-oriented organisation, Cybernetica can offer high quality services. Process engineering projects are sometimes offered in co-operation with SINTEF, NTNU or other partners. Such projects can be offered in conjunction to or independent of product deliveries.
Cybernetica’s process engineering services include – but are not limited to – the fields described below.
Process modellingModelling is a key technology in Cybernetica, particularly development of dynamic models. The Cybernetica team has been involved in numerous modelling projects for various industries, including polymer production, chemical reactors, petrochemical plants, oil & gas separation plants, light metal electrolysis, refining, pulp & paper, pharmaceutical plants, heaters, steam systems, ships, compressors, power engines and other mechanical devices. Based on this experience, Cybernetica offers various services involving model development, most often with the improved process performance and control as the final goal. Development of tailor-made simulatorsCybernetica offers special purpose simulators – based on Cybernetica SIMON or Cybernetica ModelOnLine – or sometimes implemented on a platform from a cooperating vendor. Dynamic process simulationCybernetica offers services on dynamic process simulation. Typically, such projects involve engineering simulation studies, but may also include operator training or simulator configuration. Most often, these activities are carried out as a part of a control system development. Other reasons for such studies are:
